IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS CD-ROM
(Updated 10/21/94)
This CD-ROM is Copyright © 1994 by Graphic Detail and Amiga Library Services.
This compilation is Copyright © 1994 by Graphic Detail. All Rights Reserved.
This is the first volume in the LIGHT-ROM (TM) series, authored by Michael
Meshew and produced by Amiga Library Services. This file contains important
information that applies to this particular CD-ROM, and points out other
important files that you should read.
For general information about the LIGHT-ROM series, detailed information
about the contents of this particular CD-ROM, and other important informa-
tion, read the various other files in this directory. For an introductory
message from the author, see "HELLO.TXT". For information about using
Lightwave scene files see "LIGHTWAV.TXT". For an overview of the disk
contents see "ROADMAP.TXT".
You will probably also have already noticed that this CD-ROM contains no
Amiga icon files, nor Mac OS or Windows icons either for that matter. This
is because this is an ISO-9660 level 1 CD-ROM, which places severe restrict-
ions on the file names (the so-called MS-DOS 8.3 convention). For a future
CD-ROM we may be able to use RockRidge extensions to preserve the original
longer file names, while still conforming to ISO-9660 level 1 for those
systems that are unable to support RockRidge extensions and longer filenames.
One last note, as a last minute bonus, and because there was room on the
CD-ROM for it, we have included lha archived copies of "Fish Disks" 875-1000
in the "FFDISKS" directory. On the Amiga, these files can be unarchived
with a command of the form "lha -mraxe x d950.lha", where lha is also
included in the FFDISKS directory.
